Hi, I’m Deborah Cooney and ever since I can remember I’ve had a passion and curiosity for all things healthy, natural and wholesome. I love food, how the body works, yoga, meditation, human behaviour, energy therapies, our planet…I’m just intrigued!

I always thought of this as my thing, until some of my friends suggested and sometimes nagged me to share my passion with the world. I honestly had absolutely no intention of doing so, then one day the penny dropped…I noticed that when I shared information about healthy food or self care people listened and if they put it into practice, their lives improved. You see this is how I live my life MOST of the time (I am human after all) and I take it for granted that everyone else does too…but a lot of people don’t and they have no idea where to begin!

Wellness ROCKS is my Nirvana, it allows me to inspire and motivate health conscious people that are confused and a little lost about how to start living a healthier life. Through my video blogs, trainings and private consultations I will teach you how to press pause and reboot so that you can feel healthy, energetic and alive.

Feeling awesome really does ROCK!

Now that your here you might as well get to know a little more about me and why wellness is so important to me. In my early twenties I trained as a fitness instructor, exercise always came naturally to me so working in the fitness industry was a dream come true. I worked in fitness for many years and while physically I was very fit, mentally and emotionally I struggled. I would have regular bouts of living in a depressed state, I found day to day life hard, people always perceived me as being bubbly and happy, but that couldn’t be further from the truth, underneath the mask I was sad, lost and exhausted. When I was about 34 my life took a turn for the worst, I hit rock bottom, you know that black hole you hear people talk about…I was well and truly there…and it was crap! I have no idea where the strength came from but I remember thinking to myself I can’t keep living like this anymore, it was sink or swim time…I choose SWIM.

I had absolutely no idea how I was going to change my life, I just knew I had to and so the journey began. I began to study holistic therapies, learned more about food, and try different types of yoga and meditation. I read anything that would help me understand more about life, the body, the mind, the emotions, spirituality and to be honest I still do because you’re never done with the learning process. I am a nutritionist and I’m qualified in Quantum Thinking which is the most effective tool I have ever used with my clients. I have also studied many energy modalities including Reiki, BodyTalk and Reflexology to mention a few.

It’s been a very interesting ride with lots of up’s and down’s along the way but I have to say these days there are much more up’s in my life and when I do get a down day I have the knowledge and tools to make sense of it all and “get the hell out of dodge”.
