Nutritional yeast is amazing for adding flavour to your food and I always make sure to have some in my kitchen cupboard. It is a delicious condiment that is very versatile and simple to use. You will find it in your local health food store, and it’s high in protein and is a good source of vitamins and minerals. You can also buy it with Vit B12 added which is good news for vegans, vegetarians or people that like to have meat free days.

It has a yummy cheesy flavour which is great for me as I gave up dairy a couple of years ago and really missed the flavour. If you are prone to candida overgrowths you can still eat nutritional yeast, it is an inactive yeast so it is safe to use.

Using it couldn’t be any easier, just add it to soups, salads, stews, wraps or make dairy free pesto and sprinkle on top of home-made dairy free pizza’s for that perfect cheesy flavour.
