Raw walnut chocolate fudge is a raw dessert that is packed with brain foods (walnuts and coconut oil) and it makes a great snack for both you and your children. This delicious snack is made mainly from superfoods which are foods that are incredibility rich in nutrients. Eating this taste sensation will feed the cells of your body and give you a healthier option when your feeling like a chocolate hit or something sweet. It is so quick and easy to make and the ingredients are wildly available, buy the best quality ingredients you can get your pretty little hands on to ensure it’s full of the good stuff.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of raw walnuts
- 1/2 cup of raw honey
- 1/2 cup of cacao
- 1/2 cup of softened raw coconut oil
- 2 pinches of pink Himalayan salt or sea salt
- 2 tsp of vanilla extract or vanilla beans of 1 pod
Topping
- 3/4 cup of raw walnuts
Method
- Put 1 cup of walnuts in a food processor and process into a fine crumb.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and process until it forms a solid ball of fudge, this may take a little time, make sure to stop every so often and scrap down the edges of the bowl.
- Once the fudge is in a ball shape remove form the processor and press into a container lined with parchment paper.
- Finally spread 3/4 of a cup of walnuts on top and press down into the fudge.
- Place in the fridge for at least 2 hours, once the fudge is solid remove and cut into small squares.
